I have dry very thin hair, finding products that are perfect for my hair type are extremely hard, with going natural with alot of things in the house lately i try to limit what products i buy. i am a bit more lenient on trying new products on my hair, for the past 6 months i have been using different herbal essence products.
Getting to try something new is just amazing and awesome. One of the things i was drawn to right away when i unboxed my Essence was that its boasts 0% paraben. Silicone.
"Parabens are widely used as preservatives by cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries"
"A common misconception about silicone based hair products is that silicones are bad for your hair. Not only is that statement untrue but it’s widely used, which is why many people remain uneducated. The fact of the matter is that silicone products themselves are not bad for the hair." LINK
Looks like Parabens are something to look out for in your beauty and hair products.
*note that the conditioner is only missing the Paraben.
The product is very light weight, and its gentle and smooth. After washing out the product and following using the Volume Conditioner, i found that my hair was a bit Greasy, but at the same time my dull thin hair felt very clean and Voluminous. I don't usually use conditioner in my hair due to it already being somewhat greasy already but for the sake of the review i wanted to try out all the products i was given.
Shampoo- Smelled amazing, felt amazing. Very light. light lingering smell of mint.
Conditioner- Felt like it left my hair a bit greasy, in the end i liked the results.weighed hair down.
I also got the HE Volumizing Souffle, So when you are done the Shampoo and Conditioner you take some of the souffle for a more volume look. I tried it and it doesn't seem to weigh down my hair. and when dried there wasn't any frizz and my once limp hair feels and looks like its fuller.
I would have to give this 9/10
It works, it smells amazing!!!
